Everyone knows this. However my story is special - it happened to me. Right this moment I am on the 10:12 train from Reading to London Paddington. Its currently 10:50 - the journey normally takes 28 minutes... after having stopped at Iver (wherever the hell that is)

So we finally arrived at Paddington at 11:43 - a mere 63 minutes late. In itself this wouldn't have been so bad, but then you have to factor in yesterday morning as well.

I normally cycle from my home to the train station - a 15 minute ride. However yesterday about 5 minutes from home my chain broke. And i dont just mean de-railed - one of the links on the chain actualy snapped, leaving the rest of the chain on the road. So i had to lock my bike up there (I didn't want to walk all the way home and then have to get the bus from there. But I should have. Reading Busses, in their infinite wisdom have decided that the ability to give change is a luxury and not necessary to running a good bus service. Ho hum. Luckily some nice lady at the bus stop gave me the one pound fifty i needed to get a single to the station.
